Hello readers and citizens of Cedar Creek!
In case we haven’t met face to face, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Amanda Lockwood, and I am very proud to have the opportunity to be the editor of the Cedar Creek Chronicle! As a new editor, it’s always an exciting and challenging role to have. You want to make sure your readers have the best, most diverse outlook of the world around them, and want them to have faith in what is published.
The first chapter of my story as the new editor is anything but dull. Upon taking this position, news was abuzz, and the in this case, flames were rising throughout the town. As a journalist, it takes time to make contacts, get to know who’s who, especially when you’re a new face in a large town. To my dismay, like several others, The Chronicle faced a setback from the ‘fire bug’ Our building crumbled, yet our spirit didn’t. Your beloved new source has been rebuilt, and now ready to keep the town of City Creek informed and in the know of what’s going on around them.
In upcoming issues, you will see quite a few changes! New journalists with unique writing styles, photographers that capture our beautiful town, and a minor facelift to the way you read the news! The staff at the Cedar Creek Chronicle is excited to bring the news to to the citizens in a brand new light, and hope you look to The Chronicle as your news source in Cedar Creek!
I leave you with words from a wise man, and am so excited to learn more about Cedar Creek!
“Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long…We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things because we’re curious…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walt Disney
